Sketchbook Sept 17th-21st, 2012

 A few sketchbook drawings from last week. After submitting them into the critique at school I've made a few changes, but I plan on doing a bit more work on most of these.

I fixed his head/chest area and I'm thinking of doing a digital painting on him to get some practice with shading and highlights.

A few concept sketches of the low poly model I will be making later in the year. 

Did this jellyfish the other night just for fun. 

So much work so little time I shouldn't even be on here updating my blog. Back to homework. :)

Last back to school for me!

This summer was busy with working and I kind of let this blog disappear to the back of my mind, but now that I'm back in College, ( for my last year!!) I thought I'd start updating again.

So I thought I had no life with the amount of stuff I was constantly having to create last year but looking at the next 4 months scheduled and then having a sort of on the job training thing for the last half of the year I just know already I'm going to be so busy I'll be spinning.

But those times I manage to catch a break I will make and effort to update!

So starting with this week we jumped right back into it Thursday with a Daily challenge. The challenge was to create a piece of concept art and have it looked finished by the end of the day. I think I did alright and then after critiques I went back and changed some things.

Drawing class we're staring with Anatomy witch I am pretty amped for! Drawing people usually isn't my strong suit, but I did like how this sketch turned out.

And of course this year we have Figure drawing every Friday! Third year in a row of this and I'm still not happy with how they turn out most of the time. This year though, we will be concentrating more on the anatomy, as I mentioned already, and I hope to really get good at it.
